Raised outside of Cleveland, Ohio, Michael joined the United States Air Force immediately after graduating high school. After nine years on Active Duty, he settled in northern Virginia, just outside of D.C. It was here that he started his whiskey journey and here where he started to grow frustrated with the state of craft rye whiskey.
After the birth of his daughter, Michael moved his family across the country in the search for a community to start and grow his business.
